Matt Hyre came to University of Northwestern in 2010 by way of the Virginia Military Institute where he began his teaching career. His primary teaching responsibilities include courses in physics and engineering.
In addition to teaching, Matt maintains a very active research program. He has authored numerous papers in the fields of computational modeling and biomedical applications, and has lectured on these topics at universities around the world.
In his free time, Matt enjoys running and music. He is married and has one son.
