Ready to complete your Early College application?

Early College Enrollment Process

  1. Complete the Early College online application. This includes the following supplemental items: high school transcript, standardized test scores.
    Please send supplemental items to: admissionsde@unwsp.edu. If you are an international student and not a native English speaker, you will also need to submit a TOEFL score (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
  2. You will receive a letter containing your acceptance status; if you are accepted, you will also receive a letter with information about theROCK student portal, which includes your Northwestern email account. Included will be an email with step-by-step registration instructions. *Please note that all communication from UNW will be sent to this email address, so you will need to check it regularly.
  3. On-campus Early College is a competitive program with limited availability. If you meet the qualifications for the on-campus Early College program, you may be selected by the admissions committee for an interview as a part of the application process.

Spring 2021 Term
  • PSEO On-Campus application deadline: November 15, 2020
  • PSEO Online application deadline: December 1, 2020
  • Spring & Summer 2021 Course registration opens: November 16, 2020
  • Semester dates: January 11, 2021 – May 13, 2021
  • Last day to add/drop a course: January 25, 2021
  • Last day to withdraw from a course: March 31, 2021
Summer 2021 Term
  • Online application deadline: April 15, 2021
  • Course registration opens: November 16, 2021
  • Semester dates: May 17, 2021 – August 24, 2021
  • Last day to add/drop a course: May 31, 2021
  • Last day to withdraw from a course: July 27, 2021
Fall 2021 Term
  • PSEO On-Campus priority deadline: April 1, 2021
  • PSEO On-Campus final deadline: June 1, 2021
  • PSEO Online application deadline: July 15, 2021
  • Course registration opens: April 16, 2021
  • Semester dates: August 25, 2021 – December 18, 2021
  • Last day to add/drop a course: September 7, 2021
  • Last day to withdraw from a course: November 5, 2021

Early College Requirements

Online requirements:

  1. High school GPA of at least 2.75
  2. Meet one of our standardized testing requirements:
    1. ACT, PLAN, or PreACT score of at least 18 (Code: ACT 2138)
    2. ACT Aspire score of at least 427
    3. PSAT or SAT score of at least 940 (Code: SAT 6489)
    4. CLT score of at least 61
    5. MAP test with a Math score of at least 235, Language of at least 222, and Reading at least 222
    6. California Achievement (CAT), Stanford Achievement (Stanford 10), Iowa Basics, Peabody, Terra Nova- scores in top 50%
  3. Submitting test scores is optional at this time.

On-campus requirements:

  1. High school GPA of at least 3.3
  2. Meet one of our standardized testing requirements:
    1. ACT, PLAN, or Pre ACT score of at least 22 (Code: ACT: 2138)
    2. ACT Aspire score of at least 434
    3. SAT or PSAT score of at least 1090 (Code: SAT 6489)
    4. CLT score of at least 72
    5. Submitting test scores is optional at this time.
  3. Demonstrate an excellent "fit" with the Northwestern community as determined by an essay and an interview with the Admissions Committee
  4. Junior or senior in high school
  5. Enroll in a minimum of 6 on-campus credits at Northwestern (once admitted into the program)
  6. At least 15 years of age at the time of enrollment

On-site requirements:

  1. High school GPA of at least 2.75
  2. Meet one of our standardized testing requirements:
    1. ACT, PLAN, or PreACT score of at least 18 (Code: ACT 2138)
    2. ACT Aspire score of at least 427 
    3. PSAT or SAT score of at least 940 (Code: SAT 6489)
